Empowered Parenting Workshops

Instructor: Angie Rothkamp, MA, LPC
Angie earned a master’s degree from Loyola University Chicago and a bachelor’s degree from St. Cloud State, Minnesota before moving to Colorado in 1998. As an LPC for almost 20 years, she has worked in a variety of settings including residential treatment, mental health agencies and in elementary, middle & high schools. Angie specializes in working with children & adolescents, parent coaching, and family treatment. In her work she likes to address the emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing of her clients. She works to uncover and build upon strengths and nurture the process of change.

Early Intervention Services
As Knippenberg, Patterson, Langley & Associates’ Early Intervention Specialist, Rachel works with preschool/kindergarten children to increase impulse control, positive social interactions, and the ability to focus in a group setting such as school. She leads preschool/kindergarten socialization groups that are tailored to the age of the participants. Rachel’s weekly groups are Mondays 4-5 p.m. at out Denver location and Tuesdays from 4:15-5:15 p.m. at our Littleton location. Rachel meets the last Tuesday of every month with parents to reinforce the skills taught in group and to support parents as they raise their children.

Rachel graduated from Truman State University with a major in communications, and has her master’s degree in Counseling from Colorado Christian University. Prior to studying in Colorado she spent four and half years in Munich, Germany working with middle school and high school students. She has been with Knippenberg, Patterson and Associates since 2007. She facilitates the pre-k and kindergarten groups as an early intervention specialist. Rachel takes a holistic approach, believing that there are many factors that affect an individual’s wellbeing. She explores how past and present experiences affect emotional, cognitive, psychological, social, physical and spiritual well-being in her clients.
